During a media conference this afternoon, two of the couple's children paid tribute to their parents describing them as the "sweetest, kindest people". Michelle Kirwan and Avtar Kolar talked about their heart break and shock and joined police in appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
The bodies of married couple, Avtar Kolar, aged 62, and Carole Kolar, aged 58, were found at their home in Friary Road, Handsworth Wood yesterday morning, Wednesday 11 January.
The couple had been married for 40 years and have four grown-up children and eight grandchildren.
