I took Sven along to turn on the Christmas lights in my village of Rothley and it was absolutely packed.
It was a job well done and all the proceeds from the switch-on went to the Madeleine McCann fund. There has been a candle burning on the village green by the memorial centre since the day she went missing. It is always lit.
So, on behalf of the Rothley residents, many thanks to Sven. I wonder how it compared to some of the switch-ons he must have done in the past.

The knowledge the McCanns have lost their case against Dr.Amaral and his book suppressed by the British Goverment, still not in the media...meanwhile, the McCanns have the right to write their own 'version of events.' it is the Ramseys all over again. Phill McCann, Gerry's older sister has already admitted the book is scathing toward the Portuguese police 'slander' may be a better word. Lets hope this time Portugal make a stand and sue the McCanns for any slanderous allegations. Kate McCann has yet to answer 48 questions and her friends still refuse to return for a reconstruction demonstrating the events of May 3rd 2007. An abduction, according to the group taking all of four minutes, while Gerry McCann stood in front of the apartment talking to a friend ,Jane Tanner , a member of the group claims she saw Madeleine whisked off into the night while Gerry was talking to tennis pal Jez Wilkins.
