Murdered South Africa honeymoon bride's husband is 'murder suspect'
In a plea bargain, Zola Tongo has claimed that Shrien Dewani paid to have his wife killed on a late-night taxi ride through a dangerous township.
Tongo said that Mr Dewani approached him about murdering his wife the day the couple arrived in South Africa. He said that Mr Dewani offered to pay 50,000 rand (£4,500), but only paid 1000 rand (about £90).
Mrs Dwani, 28, was shot in the back of the neck. Mr Dewani denies any involvement in his wife's murder.
Tongo has been convicted and sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Representing Mr Dewani, publicist Max Clifford has rejected the claims: "Coming from a taxi driver who admitted to playing a part in murdering his wife, I think it should be treated with the contempt it deserves."
