Ed Miliband's spokeswoman was in hot water today after tweeting that David Cameron was a hypocrite as he delivered his speech on why England should be chosen to host the 2018 World Cup.
In a blow for the Labour leader, Katie Myler launched her Twitter attack on the Prime Minister, accusing him of 'pimping himself out' in an effort to win the right to host the tournament.
The tweet came as Cameron joined Prince William and David Beckham in Zurich just hours before the announcement was made.

As Mr Cameron spoke in Zurich, Ms Myler, daughter of News of the World editor Colin Myler, tweeted: 'Hypocrisy of Cameron pimping himself out in Zurich whilst Gove's school sport fiasco continues at home is breathtaking.'
In a second message, she added: 'Assume we'll win the bid. Cameron wouldn't deign to do anything as unseemly as publicly plead for something otherwise.'
The attack will embarrass Mr Miliband who is struggling in the early weeks of his leadership.
Yesterday Mr Miliband was trounced by Mr Cameron in a heated Prime Minister's Question Time.
Ms Myler, who is shortly to leave her post with Mr Miliband, later retracted her comments and said she was fully behind England's campaign to host the World Cup.
Speaking after a keynote speech from Prince William, the Prime Minister had promised England would make every fan feel at home and that it had the 'passion' and 'expertise' to stage the 'most spectacular World Cup in history'.
'We have what it takes. Just imagine what a World Cup in England could be like. Every day during that World Cup would be a beautiful day.'

The Prime Minister also pledged to create a global football fund which could create a lasting 'legacy' as well as boosting social projects.
Ms Myler is shortly to leave her job with the Labour leader to move into corporate communications but her remarks about Mr Cameron's speech could put her current position in jeopardy.
Her tweets were put to the Prime Minister's spokesman who said Mr Cameron was backing the bid in Zurich 'because securing the World Cup would be great for the country'.
Shortly afterwards, Ms Myler - who Tweets under the name LadyMyler - issued an apology insisting the comments were a personal view.
'So sorry for earlier tweets, personal comments that don't reflect Ed's views. Wish the bid, and the bid team well,' she told her followers on the site.
England, Netherlands, Belgium, Russia and Spain-Portugal are bidding for the 2018 World Cup while Australia, the United States, Japan, South Korea and Qatar are in contention for 2022.
Fifa will announce who has won the right to host both tournaments at around 3pm.
